Created by our fellow Nook Atitaya and his organisation TransEqual Thailand, ‘The Other Side of the Mirror’ documents and provides an in-depth analysis of the lived experiences of toms, trans men, and non-binary people, including experiences of violence and discrimination, as well as how they navigate everyday life, negotiate various challenges, heal, and build resilience.

This report complements the comic by offering a deeper exploration of lived experiences and structural issues underlying violence, discrimination, and hate.

The comic book has been completed and was developed as an accessible resource to raise awareness and deepen understanding of hate crime, particularly in relation to the experiences of toms, trans men, transmasculine, and non-binary people. This comic complements the report by communicating key concepts and issues around hate crime in an accessible way!
